Electrolysis / Advanced
This is a form of progressive permanent hair removal which applies small electric current (diathermy method) to the hair roots which in effect disables them. This is a safe and effective method of permanent hair removal which can treat all colours of hair. Hair growth is the result of hereditary and hormone levels. Also some medications, temporary methods of hair removal, and illnesses can stimulate hair growth. Many factors influence hair growth, so clients will need to return for several electrolysis visits. The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently from a particular area will vary from person to person. Most return once a week or every other week as needed. A free consultation is included in your first visit. We suggest a course of treatment for maximum effectiveness.

Can I have electrolysis if I am pregnant?
Yes, as pregnancy is not normally a contra-indication to the Thermolysis/Shortwave diathermy method of electrolysis. This method uses alternating current (AC) which produces a very weak intensity of current during the procedure. There is no risk to mother or unborn child although treatment of the breast and abdominal areas should be avoided, especially in the later stages of pregnancy – this is entirely due to the fact that the skin in these areas is stretched and therefore under duress – no harm could be caused to the foetus as the current does not pass through the body at all. If you are at all concerned, please discuss with your Midwife or GP prior.
Blend Electrolysis
Using “blend” electrolysis combines the traditional method of diathermy with a galvanic current to produce a chemical reaction with the body salts in the skin to aid in epilation of problem unwanted hair. Good for strong hairs on delicate and darker skin types.

Term-Epil Treatment
Term-Epil was conceived over 20 years ago by Swiss scientists, with continued development and research, they have created the industry’s leading hair retardant lotion, a reputation gained from the results it has achieved. The Swiss have a very technical, biochemical approach to the qualities of this product and we can say since using it over the past 15 years we have seen some excellent results.
It is applied immediately after electrolysis and then twice a day for the next 3 days. Term-Epil reduces the size of the next hair growth cycle by preventing new hair cells from joining together, whilst also destroying the hair reproductive system. The key ingredients are Glycolic Extracts of Lemon, Nettle and Willow for their small molecular size and ability to absorb down into the follicle and break down those new forming cells. It also contains Arnica extract to calm and soothe your skin. Home care products are available to purchase, speak to your therapist about these.
Following an electrolysis treatment:
Per treatment – £4
With a course of 5 electrolysis sessions – £18
With a course of 10 electrolysis sessions – £ 36
Advanced Electrolysis
A specialized treatment that can safely and effectively remove red veins from the face and skin tags from the face and body. Unwanted white hard milia spots can also be removed. Milia is a pearly white sebum trapped under the skin. Blood Spots and Thread Veins are removed by a tiny electrical current “zapping” them to disable the capillaries close to the surface of the skin, causing them to lose their red colouring. Skin Tags are very common and most frequently found in areas of friction such as the underarm area, under the breasts, along the bikini line area or around the neck where necklaces may rub. Effects of this treatment can be seen immediately, however on occasions may take up to four weeks. Multiple treatments may be necessary for results.

MILIA REMOVAL
Milia are small white or yellowish raised small cysts, bumps or spots on the skin. They are normally found around the eye area and cheeks, but can appear anywhere on the face or body. Unlike a pimple or spot, Milia feel quite hard, almost like a small piece of grit under the skin, and do not have any redness or inflammation as you might expect with whiteheads or acne-related spots. Milia are not contagious or harmful in any way. Milia can sometimes take a long time to disappear naturally, but can be removed through a simple minor procedure. There are a variety of treatment options to remove Milia depending on the type, location and number of Milia that need removing. This can either be Needle Extraction or Advanced Electrolysis.
